A Washington state judge has certified a class action lawsuit filed by former employers for OBI Seafoods against the Alaska seafood company, "seeking payment of damages resulting from the delay in wage payments" during periods of quarantine.

US District Judge Marsha Pechman certified the lawsuit as a class action in an order filed Sept. 9 with a Washington State's King County Superior Court.

Plaintiffs leading the case, wife and husband Marija Paunovic and Dusan Paunovic, filed the lawsuit last June.
