Scallop and groundfish companies Blue Harvest Fisheries and Quinn Fisheries have yet to settle a lawsuit with an executive charged with the settlement trust of Carlos Rafael and three arbitrators in an effort to complete a multimillion-dollar transaction to transfer some of Quinn's fishing vessels and permits to Blue Harvest.
The companies in August filed a status report with a judge in a New Bedford, Massachusetts-based Superior Court regarding Rafael trustee Lloyd MacDonald, explaining to the court that mediation between the parties in July and August "concluded without success."
