Norway-based salmon farming giant Mowi this week laid out its case against outgoing Canada Fisheries Minister Bernadette Jordan's surprise decision to phase out salmon farming in British Columbia's Discovery Islands, part of the company's ongoing effort to combat the impact of the decision on its BC operations.

Roy Millen, legal council for Mowi, told a Canada federal court Monday that Jordan's decision was made without proper consultation, notice or explanation -- despite the massive impact it would have on the company, the industry and employees in the province.
