Bumble Bee Foods subsidiary Anova Food is asking a US Court to block Bumble Bee's Canadian division Clover Leaf Holdings from selling assets that are connected to both businesses, as Bumble Bee and Clover Leaf go through Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
On Wednesday, Anova filed a complaint with a US district court in California asking for "a temporary restraining order"related to Clover Leaf transferring or selling assets that include Coral Triangle, a seafood processing and manufacturing company based in the Marshall Islands.
