US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued more than 170 penalty notices relating to what is being called the "Bayside Program" that collectively total more than $350 million (€294.6 million) in fines covering a time period going back nearly five years, according to court documents filed by logistics firms Kloosterboer International Forwarding (KIF) and Alaska Reefer Management (ARM).

The notices of penalties have been served on almost all of the logistics firms' customers, participants and servicers associated with contracting to transport seafood products or facilitate the delivery of such seafood products via the Bayside Program to New Brunswick, Canada from Dutch Harbor, Alaska via the Panama Canal.
