UPDATE: Peru fishing firms in race against clock to land full anchovy quota

With 60% of anchovy quota caught, the race is on to land the full quota before winter conditions deteriorate and the season closes at the end of July.

After Peru's second anchovy season was cut dramatically short in north central waters in January because of the abundance of juvenile fish, it remains unclear whether the full quota will be landed after the first season of 2020 was delayed amid the coronavirus pandemic.
