Tuna group Tri Marine is adding a fifth pole-and-line vessel --Solomon Hunter-- to its National Fisheries Developments (NFD) fleet in the Solomon Islands.

The company said Thursday the vessel was purchased from Japan, where it was inspected by Solomon Islands maritime authorities for permanent registry under Solomon Island flag.

Solomon Hunter will join NFD’s fleet of seven purse seiners and four other pole-and-line fishing vessels, Tri Marine said.
