Russian fishing giants Norebo and the North West Fishing Consortium (SZRK) are among companies being refused service and repairs at several Western shipyards, a heavy blow that could result in lower fish catches and potentially unsafe operating conditions.

Vessels owned by the Russian companies have been turned away at some shipyards in Norway, Poland, Finland and the Baltic States, the result of "subjective views on political justice," according to Sergey Sennikov, deputy director for international affairs and public communications at Norebo Management Company.
