The United Kingdom is Norway's fourth-largest export market for seafood, and in 2017 direct imports amounted around 34,366 metric tons worth £105.5 million ($137.9 million/€121.2 million), according to Ivan Bartolo, regulatory affairs advisor at UK trade body Seafish.

Naturally then, importers in the United Kingdom are concerned about what that will mean for any potential tariffs following Brexit.

Bartolo did his best to outline the situation -- or potential situation -- to the audience at the UK-Norwegian Summit, but conceded it was little more than “conjecture” and “looking into a crystal ball.”
