Built by Cygnus in 1999 the former Newhaven under 10m trawler Danny Jade NN 713 is staying at Stornoway having been bought by local Skipper Ronald McNeil.
Another Stornoway trawler to change owners recently is Diamond SY 804, which Skipper Robert McRitchie has sold to John Mitchell of Stranraer. The 12m Diamond was built at St Monans by James N Miller Ltd in 1962 as Dauntless LH 403 for St Abbs Skipper Ian Aitchison, who fished the vessel from Eyemouth for some 20 years, mainly trawling for prawns.
