Norway-based salmon giant Mowi has announced the launch of its range of pre-packed consumer products at UK retail giant Asda.
Asda recorded sales of £20.4 billion (€23.7 billion/$25 billion) for 2021, and the company is widely expected to leapfrog Sainsbury’s and take second position behind market leader Tesco in the coming year.
In the 52 weeks to Oct. 08, total chilled salmon sales at UK retail were worth £1.1 billion (€1.3 million/$1.4 million) in value, according to data from market research firm Nielsen.
