Russia’s seafood exports to South Korea jumped 86 percent through July compared with the same period in 2021 to reach 346,295 metric tons, according to Busan-based Union Forsea Corp.

The volume accounted for almost half -- 48 percent -- of South Korea's total seafood imports during the period, which amounted to 724,699 metric tons.

Of this, Russia’s frozen pollock landings in South Korea jumped 148 percent to 218,429 metric tons.
