Whitefish giant Russian Fishery Company (RFC) significantly increased its production of value-added pollock products in 2021, while simultaneously diversifying its markets based on large pollock catches.

By the end of 2021, RFC had caught more than 90 percent of its pollock quota, amounting to 302,300 metric tons.

The company’s output of deep-processed frozen-at-sea (FAS) pollock products -- including fillets, mince and surimi -- increased more than 50 percent compared with the previous year.
