Russian pollock sector could face dramatic decline in TAC by 2025

Though industry doubts the cuts will be quite so severe, researchers envision a sharp decline.

According to Pacific Fisheries Research Center (TINRO) estimates, a decline in biomass and an increase in fishing fleet capacity could lead to a halving of the total allowable catch (TAC) for pollock in the next five years.
