Russia’s Far Eastern Nakhodka Active Marine Fishery Base (NBAMR), one of the country’s top five fishing quota holders, invested more than RUB 2.5 billion (€35 million/$39.8 million) in its development last year, according to the company’s annual report -- a key step in the group's expansion into value-adding and downstream retail sales.

NBAMR is carrying out a large-scale upgrade of its fishing and onshore fish processing assets, and is now focusing on value-added products tailored toward the end consumer.

The company acquired second-hand fishing vessels Tsaritsa and Lider and completed the modernization of its two Pulkovskiy Meridian type factory trawler vessels.
