The Russian Fishery Company (RFC) has begun supplying pollock fillets to China and Japan as it moves further along with plans to reduce its supply of headed and gutted products and increase those with more added value, such as fillets and surimi.

The first contract for the supply of 700 metric tons of pollock fillet to China was signed in 2020. This year, another contract was signed for 1,000 metric tons, and an agreement on the supply of a further 2,500 metric tons to China is almost complete.
