Russian federal fishery agency, Rosrybolovstvo, increased its income forecast for upcoming crab auctions over the next two years by 37 percent, to a total RUB 110 billion (€1.5 billion/$1.7 billion).

“The forecast changed after the lots were formed, the economy and the starting price were calculated," Ilya Shestakov, head of Rosrybolovstvo told IntraFish at the III Global Forum in St. Petersburg last week.

“The new forecast is just the lower level, and we expect it to be significantly surpassed."

According to the fishery regulator, there is “quite a large number of companies ready for taking part in auctions."
