Russian fisheries giant Arkhangelsk Trawl Fleet (ATF) -- part of the North West Fishing Consortium (SZRK) group -- has taken possession of the second in a series of four vessels ordered from the Vyborg shipyard near St. Petersburg.

The new trawler, Norwegian Sea, was initially based on a project by Norwegian design bureau Skipsteknisk, then further developed by Russia’s Marine Engineering Bureau.

The vessel is designed for cod and haddock harvesting in the Barents and Norwegian seas, having high-level ice class ratings and hull reinforcement.
