The Russian Crab group of companies has signed contracts worth an estimated RUB150 billion (€202 million/$225 million) with Russia's Onego and Okskaya shipyard regions to build 10 crab catching vessels.

The vessels will be built from 2020 to 2024, seven for harvesting and transporting live crab and three processing factory vessels to produce raw-frozen and boiled-frozen crab products.

The project comes under the terms of the auctions for securing and providing a share of quotas, at which Russian Crab Group secured 10 lots for commercial crab harvesting.
