A major increase in Russia's value-added pollock production in the coming years will result in a parallel shift in where the country's producers market the fish, Alexey Buglak, president of Russia’s Pollock Catchers Association (PCA) told IntraFish last week during the III Global Fishery Forum in St. Petersburg.

“According to our estimates, the country’s annual overall production of value-added pollock, mainly fillets and mince, could increase up to 250,000 to 270,000 metric tons from the current 70,000 metric tons," Buglak said.
