Russia’s Pacific wild salmon season officially kicked off Monday, and while hopes are for stronger prices, the industry is burdened with market uncertainty and costs associated with Covid-19 preventative measures.

“The main challenge for us is to prevent the spread of coronavirus among fishermen," Alexander Tulupov, general director of the Kamchatka-based Bekerev fishing collective farm, told IntraFish.
