Mitsubishi-owned UK fish canner Princes called on the Indian Ocean Tuna Commission (IOTC) to agree on a strategy to rebuild yellowfin tuna in light of decreasing stocks.
Princes, through its membership in the Sustainable Indian Ocean Fisheries Improvement project (SIOTI), works on the long-term sustainability of tuna fisheries and is pressing for decisive action to reach new agreements on quotas and other efforts to ensure the conservation of yellowfin tuna stocks.
