France-based Piriou shipyard in November delivered to french fishing company Comata a new 62.8 meter freezer-longliner that will harvest toothfish in the French southern seas.

Designed by Piriou Ingenierie, the 'Ile de la Reunion II was ordered in July, 2017, and built in the Piriou's shipyard in Vietnam.

The vessel is equipped with diesel-electric propulsion utilizing two propulsion systems and allowing more flexibility in energy management, simplified maintenance and fuel savings. The electric production comes from four marine diesel oil (MDO) powered generators.
