Peru’s Ministry of Production (Produce) eliminated its General Management of Industrial Fisheries department to replace it with the General Management of Fisheries.
The new division will be split in two subdivisions: fisheries for direct human consumption and fisheries for indirect human consumption, Produce said.
The amendments in the country's Functions and Organization Regulation are aimed at strengthening its direct human consumption fisheries sector.
