Peru’s Ministry of Production (Produce) set the total allowable catch (TAC) for anchovy for direct human consumption at 150,000 metric tons in 2019, reports El Economista.

The fishing season will close once the full quota has been landed.

The volumes corresponded to this quota can only be processed or traded for direct human consumption, in different formats including canned products, frozen, raw fish.
