Anchovy harvesters in Peru have to date landed about 78 percent of the first season quota, amounting to 1.6 million metric tons, reports Gestion.

The total annual catch (TAC) is set for 2.1 million metric tons.

The fishing season began at the end of April and harvesters were landing about 25,000 metric tons daily since the start of June compared to 43,000 metric tons in April and May due to anomalous waves last month.
