Offshore wind-power pioneer Hexicon has signed an agreement with Ireland’s Killybegs Fishermen’s Organisation (KFO) and Sinbad Marine Services for a 2GW project in the North Atlantic that is designed to shape a new model for development of offshore wind power.
The memorandum of understanding (MOU) allows KFO and Sinbad to be involved in making key decisions, including site selection, cable routing, and land fall, for the giant wind farm, which will be located in 150-350 meters of water some 30 miles off the coast of country Donegal, Ireland.
