Nutraceutical, seafood and marine ingredient producer New Zealand Coastal Seafoods (NZCS) has acquired 100 percent of Australian fishing and wholesale export business Nine Ocean Fishery.
The proposed transaction will provide NZCS with a number of strategic benefits, including an Australia-based operation with established revenue channels, advanced supply chain and logistics networks and access to the lucrative Asian market.
Established in 2017 and headquartered in Cairns, Nine Ocean Fishery catches and processes a range of seafood products, with a focus on tropical rock lobster and sea cucumber.
