Nueva Pescanova’s new fishing vessel Lalandii 1 was delivered by Spanish shipyard Astilleros Armon.

The vessel, a hake harvester that will be added to the company’s Namibian fleet, is the first of seven newbuilds commissioned by Nueva Pescanova as part of its fleet renewal plan worth a total €42.5 million.

As part of the project, the company will build another two hake freshers with a 50-meters length to operate in Namibia and four freezer vessels of 32 meters each that will catch shrimp in Mozambique.
