Norwegian harvesting and processing giant Nergard said it is ready to purchase another trawler just weeks before receiving the new trawler Senja from shipbuilding company Vard.
The new trawler will be as big as Senja, measuring 80 x 17 meters.
Nergard CEO Tommy Torvanger said the company sees it absolutely necessary to renew its fleet.
The new vessels are not that different in terms of processing and fishing compared to Tonsnes, which was launched two decades ago.
