Norway's Ministry of Trade and Industry has set the 2022 total allowable catch (TAC) for Northeast Arctic saithe at 197,212 metric tons, down marginally from this year.

The total is similar to the recommended quota suggested by the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES), and slightly lower than 2021's quota of 197,779 metric tons.

The Northeast Arctic saithe fishery is managed unilaterally by Norway without negotiations with other countries.
