Norway's Ministry of Trade and Industry has set the 2021 total allowable catch (TAC) for Northeast Arctic saithe at 197,779 metric tons, up 15 percent compared with the current year.
The total is equal to the recommended quota set by the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES).
The Northeast Arctic saithe fishery is managed unilaterally by Norway without negotiations with other countries.
