The Newfoundland and Labrador Standing Fish Price‐Setting Panel set last Wednesday the minimum coldwater shrimp price at CAD 0.95 ($0.71/€0.66) per pound for this year's spring fishery.
This is 22 percent less than the price set for last year's spring fishery.
The weighted average market price for the 2017 spring shrimp fishery dropped by CAD 0.46 - $0.54 ($0.34/€0.32 - $0.40/€0.37) per pound according to the Fish, Food and Allied Workers Union (FFAW) and by CAD 0.78
