DESPITE the new found popularity of twin rig trawling there is a surprising lack of understanding on what happens to the gear while it works on the sea bed, according to the Sea Fish Industry Authority's (Seafish) educational video 'Twin Rig Trawling - The Initial Setup'.
The film is available from Seafish in either video format or CD format for use on a standard PC computer. It was made mainly at the Authority's flume tank in Hull and takes an indepth look at the fishing method, showing how the gear can be altered while at sea to obtain maximum efficiency.
