A fire broke on the Russian Fishery Company's (RFC) new supertrawler Mechanic Maslak on Tuesday morning at the Admiralty Shipyards in St. Petersburg.

The fire occurred in the fishmeal hold, where welding work were being carried out, said the shipyard.

All employees were evacuated from the ship, and there were no injuries.

"There is no critical equipment in the hold, and the incident will not affect the construction and commissioning of the vessel," the shipyard press service said.
