When Skipper Graham Hall took Jubilee Quest through the Grimsby lock gates for the first time earlier this month, the Whitby-built vessel became the first new locally-owned whitefish trawler boat to berth at the famous South Humber port for 12 years.

At 21.67m overall length, Jubilee Quest is also the biggest new whitefish trawler to join the UK fleet for nine years (Farnella H 135 in 2000); the biggest new build for Grimsby for 25 years (Coromandel KY 27 1984); and only the port’s third new build in 20 years (Jubilee Quest GY 900 in 1997 and Sparkling Line GY 36 in 1989).
