The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) has appointed David Parker as head of NGO and government relations.
Parker was previously head of corporate social responsibility (CSR) at Young's Seafood, among other roles he has held down.
Besides having sat on various fisheries industry advisory committees, Parker is the founder of the Redfish Insights consultancy.
His previous roles have seen him employed as both fisheries and marine biologist as well as at the World Wildlife Fund, where he was briefly the marine policy officer.
