At the 34th ASEAN Summit in Bangkok, Indonesia and Vietnam agreed to speed up ongoing negotiations on their exclusive economic zone (EEZ), reports The Jakarta Post.
Interim guidelines for the disputed waters are in the works.
Negotiations have been going on for a long time. Indonesia is currently pursuing five maritime delimitation agreements. An EEZ delimitation agreement with the Philippines was ratified earlier in the month.
