THREE generations of a Kilkeel fishing family lost their lives after their vessel sank suddenly following a LPG explosion centred on the cabin a year ago, according to a report by the Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB).

The 1987 built wooden hulled prawn trawler/mussel dredger Tullaghmurry Lass N 246 with a registered length of 10.02m had left Kilkeel at 3.40am on 14 February 2002 for a day prawn fishing trip with three people onboard: an adult father and son team and the adult son's eight year old son.
