Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA)-backed Global Seafood Assurances awarded Patagonian and Antarctic toothfish fishing company Australian Longline with the first-ever Responsible Fishing Vessel Standard (RFVS).

The vessel Antarctic Discovery operates in a Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)-certified fishery, carrying a crew of 20 to 25.

Global Seafood Assurance is currently piloting 12 audits, covering different vessels, operations and locations including Russia, Philippines, Africa and the United Kingdom.
