Fraserburgh netmaking company Faithlie Trawl will be displaying samples of new Dyneema rope, which the firm is going to start selling, and its wide range of trawls including two new designs of twin rig nets.
The high-strength Dyneema products are widely used as sweeps by midwater trawlers, and Faithlie Trawl has already received a number of enquiries from local pelagic skippers.
Faithlie Trawl recently sent a new design of higher lift scraper trawl to Portugal. This dual purpose net was designed for a specific mixed fishery by a Portuguese company, which has been impressed with the performance of several types of nets Faithlie Trawl has made in recent years for use on trawlers fishing from Portugal.
