Norway's joint quota negotiation with the EU on North Sea stocks saw reductions across many species, some of them significant.

The total quota for North Sea cod was set at 29,437 metric tons, which represents a decrease of 33 percent compared with last year. Of this, the quota for Norway is 5,004 metric tons.

For herring, the total quota has been reduced by 35.9 percent compared with last year, at 385,008 tonnes. Norway's quota is 111,652 metric tons.

For saithe, the quota has increased by 16 percent, giving a total quota of 122,342 metric tons, with Norway's quota at 63,618 metric tons.
