Dutch-based Damen Shipyards Group will deliver its latest fishing vessel Spes Nova to Van der Zwan.
The new ship will fish for flatfish such as plaice, cod and turbot.
The fishing vessel was named Spes Nova by the Director of Fisheries and Rural Affairs at the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. during a ceremony on Nov. 1.
The UK-205 design is part of a range of fishing trawlers developed through a collaboration between Vripack Naval Architects and Van der Zwan-owned Ekofish Group.
