Charoen Pokphand Foods India (CP Foods India), along with selected fishery societies and seafood companies, are joining forces with India’s government to draft the country’s first-ever action plan under a Fishery Improvement Project (FIP) in bid to preserve the Indian oil sardine stock along the West coast.

The group came up with a series of key proposals during the second steering committee meeting held in Panjim last week, pushing for strong practices to promote sustainability in the supply chain of fisheries and related products along the coast of Goa and Maharashtra, India.
