Copper River salmon fishermen see steady late-season catches, but harvest likely to fall short of forecast

While it started with a sputter, the Copper River salmon season has been running smoother in recent weeks.

ADFG Area Biologist Jeremy Botz told IntraFish on Tuesday there is currently a "secondary summer peak" that is stronger than anticipated, allowing the fishery to have a regular 24 to 36-hour fishing schedule.
