NGOs Conservation International and Ocean Outcomes announced a partnership to establish a more sustainable seafood supply chain.

Both organizations will develop and apply strategic approaches to improve fisheries in developing regions toward more environmentally sustainable, socially responsible and economically viable models.

The organizations will also fundraise for future projects to address the main environmental, social and economic obstacles facing many fisheries.

"Conservation International's partnership with Ocean Outcomes brings together our respective strengths to support the transition of fisheries to sustainable production," said Jack Kittinger, senior director of Global Fisheries and Aquaculture Program at Conservation International.
