Confusion over new regulations could significantly disrupt Russia's pollock "A" season

New customs declaration requirement may deter up to 45% of pollock fishing vessels from going to sea and lead to millions in losses.

The new rules, which take effect Jan. 1, require that vessels built outside the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) provide customs declarations before they will be issued fishing licenses by the government.
