Coastal States agree on blue whiting, herring quota for 2023

Earlier this week, the Coastal States agreed on total mackerel quota for 2023.

For years, the European Union, Norway, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, the United Kingdom, Russia, and Greenland have been unable to reach an agreement on mackerel, blue whiting and Atlanto-Scandian herring in the northeast Atlantic.
