United States-based Patagonian toothfish importer and supplier Kendell Seafood welcomed the launch of the vessel CFL Hunter earlier this month, and predicts it will provide huge economic benefits to the Falkand Islands' fishing industry.
Kendell Seafood President Mike DellaGrotta told IntraFish the species is gaining traction in the country, and the efforts made by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) to certify the fishery have earned the product a wide acceptance and high value.
