The new white fish pair trawler Carousel SH 298, built by Harris and Garrod, has started fishing the east coast grounds from Scarborough.
The 14.5m vessel is owned by the Grimsby engineering company's three directors: Richard Harris, Roger Garrod and Mike Thompson.
She is skippered by Derek Tye of Bridlington, who previously took the 16.7m Caro Sal H 424, which Carousel replaces. The 40-year-old Caro Sal is now for sale, and will almost certainly be disposed of to non-fishing interests, possibly diving concerns.
